Eishin Ryu
We practise a iaido style called Musojikiden Eishin Ryu, as taught by Esaka Seigen Sensei.
The invention of the art of sword drawing about 450 years ago is credited to Hayashizaki Jinsuke. His successor Hasegawa Eishin – after whom our style is named – adapted Hayashizaki's techiques for the long sword to the newly developed shorter katana several decades later.
Eishin Ryu claims an unbroken line of successors up to the present day.
